Juice of half a lemon, 1-2 small onions, 1-2 Roma tomatoes, 1 –2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tsp freshly ground pepper, Salt to taste, ½ small jalapeño
  • Taste and adjust with more salt or lemon juice as needed.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, grilled meats, or vegetables.

Notes

*If you're using a regular tomato, remove the seeds and watery pulp before dicing it. This helps prevent the guacamole from becoming watery. Roma (plum) tomatoes are also a good choice because they naturally contain less juice.
Optional: If you like your guacamole with a bit of heat, add ½ to 1 finely minced jalapeño (remove the seeds for a milder flavor, or leave some in for extra spice).
Use ripe avocados that yield slightly when gently squeezed.
For extra flavour, add a small clove of grated garlic.
Storage
To minimize browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole and refrigerate. It will keep well for about 1–2 days, though it's best enjoyed fresh.
