Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh strawberries
  • 200 g dark or milk chocolate
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter optional, for smoother chocolate

Optional Toppings

  • Crushed nuts
  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed cookies

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly and dry them completely with paper towels. Any moisture can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
    500 g fresh strawberries

Melt the Chocolate

  • Melt the dark or milk chocolate and white chocolate separately.
200 g dark or milk chocolate, 100 g white chocolate

Microwave Method:

  • Heat the chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Add coconut oil or butter for smoother and shinier coating.
1 tsp coconut oil or butter

Stovetop Method:

  • Use a double boiler and stir until fully melted.
  • For best results, heat the chocolate to about 43°C while melting.

Dip the Strawberries

  • Allow the chocolate to cool slightly to the ideal dipping temperature of 30–32°C.
  • Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, and gently twist while lifting to remove excess chocolate.

Add Toppings

  • Immediately sprinkle your desired toppings over the strawberries before the chocolate sets.
    Crushed nuts, Sprinkles, Crushed cookies
  • Place the dipped strawberries on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • Use any leftover chocolate to drizzle over the strawberries with a spoon or piping bag for a decorative finish.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature strawberries for the best results.
  • High-quality chocolate melts more smoothly and tastes better.
  • Add coconut oil or butter for a shinier, smoother coating.
  • Chocolate-covered strawberries are best enjoyed within 1–2 days.
